However, you need to have some airtime at least 10 Naira to be able to do this, it used to be free but recently the telecoms and the banks had some issues that made the telecoms like MTN, Glo, Airtel and 9Mobile to be charge about 6 Naira to active the use of USSD. Take note of the following:
- You must use the phone number linked to your bank account, if not it won’t work
- You need to have at least 10 Naira on your phone before using this method to perform an transactions.
- You must create your USSD Transaction Pin before you can complete certain transactions.
- Protect your phone and Pin because anyone that gain access to both of them has access to you bank and can change some details as well.
- Ussd transaction pin is different from your ATM card pin unless you set them to be the same which is not advisable. You can choose different code for your ATM and another for your USSD Pin.
